This is something we’ve been working towards for a while now and so it’s with much delight that we’re able to announce the launch of our funeral tributes online.
From letters and wreaths through to garlands and double-ended sprays, the website now provides the option of browsing and ordering an extensive range of tributes online, and makes us one of just a few artisan florists offering this service nationwide.
“This marks quite a milestone for Catkin & Pussywillow,” says owner Ellie. “It’s a range that we hope reflects our years of funerals experience and our desire to do things a bit differently; to provide flowers that stand apart from the mass market offering online.”
That desire to provide unique and fitting tributes is something that Iain Steel, fourth generation Funeral Director at Richard Steel & Partners, can attest to. They’re just one of the local funeral directors we’re proud to have forged a strong working relationship with over the years. “We enjoy working with Catkin & Pussywillow as they always provide our families with something a little bit different to personalise a funeral.”
Ask any of the Catkin & Pussywillow team and they’ll all agree that their funeral work is amongst the most important and rewarding they undertake. Working with the bereaved to create a fitting tribute comes with a huge sense of responsibility, and it’s one that Ellie has always been sure to instil in everyone that works with her.
"Creating sympathy flowers is the work we are most proud of and carries the most meaning,” says Ellie. “Flowers have the ability to make every situation better, so at a funeral they're in their element and it’s always our hope that they provide some comfort at a difficult time. By offering a collection online now, we also hope that we can ease the process of arranging a funeral and make everything as straightforward as possible.”
Our online service allows additional colour-way options, special instructions as well as direct delivery to funeral directors throughout Hampshire, plus overnight delivery nationwide on all of our smaller tributes. That said, we appreciate that sometimes our online offering won’t always tick all the boxes, and we remain committed as ever to working closely with clients to provide entirely bespoke tributes where they’re called for. Simply call the shop on 01962 860345 if you have any queries, or you can view our funerals collection online here.
Special thanks goes to Richard Steel & Partners of Winchester for the loan of the Somerset willow and mahogany coffins, as well as Winchester Registry Office, the church of St. Swithun-upon-Kingsgate, and St. Cross Allotment for allowing us to photograph the tributes range in their beautiful settings.
