It was the end of autumn, the leaves had turned, the grass was wet with dew and the sun was low and hazy in the sky when we found ourselves winding our way through beautiful Sussex countryside to a very special location, van loaded to bursting with plants, flowers and props.
We were on a mission to shoot our autumn bouquets, gifts and houseplants, and what we found was the most perfect backdrop; an abandoned walled garden overgrown with craggy old apple trees, glimpses of its former glory spilling over at the borders. In the far corner, a tumbledown potting shed and glasshouse, grape vines hanging from the ceiling, moss and ferns growing from every nook and cranny; all kinds of magical, like something out of The Secret Garden. The photo opportunities were endless and these are just a few of the highlights. Enjoy!
